If a universal thought is an act of liberation, and a step closer to enlightenment, then resistance is alive and well.
Another Thought On Brave New World
In my "Brave New World" collection, I sought to delve deep into the labyrinth of human emotions and societal concepts, aiming to convey a spectrum of feelings from hope and resilience to despair and introspection. I wanted each piece to serve as a mirror reflecting the complexities of our shared experience in navigating an ever-evolving world. This collection is, at its core, a dialogue about the state of our humanity and the constant tension between progress and tradition, particularly in the face of global challenges such as climate change.

BRAVE NEW WORLD
The Children's Climate Risk Index by UNICEF has revealed a chilling reality: the climate crisis is unequivocally a crisis for children's rights. Shockingly, approximately 1 billion children, almost half of all children globally, are currently facing 'extremely high risk' from the consequences of climate change. This isn't a distant threat; it's happening right now.
CLIMATE CHANGE
Broken Wing
Charcoal, Torn Paper |4'x8'
This artwork effectively conveys a poignant message about the pressing environmental crisis facing humanity. It depicts Mother Nature as a contemplative force, standing at a pivotal moment where she must make a profound decision about our future. Centuries of unbridled resource exploitation, meant to be shared equitably among all species, have led us to a critical juncture with far-reaching consequences for all life on Earth.
Within the drawing, Mother Nature contemplates the drastic notion of resetting life through complete destruction. However, her gaze lands upon a lone injured bird of prey, evoking a powerful sense of empathy and compassion. This moment encourages us to reflect on whether, despite our imperfections, we too may be deserving of her mercy. It serves as a poignant reminder of our collective responsibility to safeguard our planet and underscores the imperative for united action to secure a sustainable and harmonious future for all living beings.
